Nana creates and sells unique, handmade, one-of-a-kind and limited run handbags, all designed and produced, with love and pride, in Columbia, South Carolina, USA. Our leather and textile products utilize end-bolts of fabrics (otherwise destined for a landfill) and leather “seconds” (leathers that may have minor imperfections.) We ensure that these materials are of the best quality and our use of them yields a product that is not only well-made but also created with a social and environmental consciousness.
Sally Peek is the creator of Nana products. A week after taking a one-day sewing class in 2007, Sally was drafting original handbag patterns, constructing them out of her kitchen and selling them to family and friends. A month later, Sally had applied for a business license and officially named the business after the most influential matriarch in her family: her great-grandmother, Nana. Believing that life is ultimately about people, Sally names each design after a family member or close friend.
