the bertha is both the quintessential statement clutch and the oh-so-functional catch-all pouch. every bag is fully lined and finished off with a coordinating heavy-duty brass zippered closure. gold leather detailing on the exterior top give the bertha a touch of elegance.

we all called my great-grandmother “nana” but her given name was a combination of old-fashioned gems and “bertha” was her first in the string of those.

the highest quality leathers are used in this bag. we use top and full grain leathers and like the fact that each hide we use shows its own natural markings and grain characteristics. each hide shows small scars, marks and color variations and we think this adds to the character of each finished piece. every part of your bag is meticulously hand cut and each ending row of stitches has been hand knotted several times to ensure a strong seam.

we want you to carry your bag with confidence and ease. scratches and creases in the leather are to be expected with time. your bag will develop a beautiful natural patina that is 100% unique to you. all textiles are spot clean only.
