when i was young, my nana would host an easter egg hunt in her yard. the lucky seeker would find the golden egg, which always held something like a $5 bill. at the end of the hunt, we would empty out the contents of our eggs into our easter baskets, and then nana, always thrifty, would collect all of the plastic eggs (gold one included!) to reuse again the next year. looking back as an adult, i realize that the magic of the event wasn't about the eggs we found or the little treasures they held as much as it was about the journey to discover them. such is life, right?

these clutches celebrate your own life journeys. each bag features a nod to the golden egg on the front and back. the clutches are fully lined in coordinating printed fabrics and each one is finished off with a brass zipper and leather zipper pull. the golden egg clutch is roomy and can be carried solo or be stashed into your everyday work bag for organizing your goods. 

each leather used in the creation of this bag was sustainably sourced from cococo furniture located in north carolina. this handmade furniture company is mindful in finding ways to utilize their waste and i am proud to be partnering with them in an effort to mutually decrease our environmental footprints on this majestic planet.

the highest quality leathers are used in these bags. we use top and full grain leathers and like the fact that each hide we use shows its own natural markings and grain characteristics. each hide shows small scars, marks and color variations and we think this adds to the character of each finished piece. every part of your bag is meticulously hand cut and each ending row of stitches has been hand knotted several times to ensure a strong seam.

we want you to carry your bag with confidence and ease. scratches and creases are to be expected with time. your bag will develop a beautiful natural patina that is 100% unique to you.
